Ordne (“we”) provides Ordne, a terminal workspace you install and run on your own computer. We are based in Austin, Texas, United States, and we are the controller of the personal data described below. Reach us at [email protected].
Ordne runs locally. Your projects, their source code, the output of the processes and agents you run, terminal scrollback, and the paths those projects live at are held in local storage on your own computer. None of it is sent to us, and our systems have nowhere to put it: the database has no column for a project, a file, a line of output or a directory path.
Agents you run — Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI and the rest — talk to their own providers directly from your machine, under their own terms and their own accounts. We are not in the middle of that, and we do not see it.
This page sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and loads nothing from a third party — no tag manager, no font service, no tracking pixel. Its styles and its one script are part of the page itself, and the fonts and images come from our own domain, so viewing this page tells nobody but us that you did.
Our servers are hosted on DigitalOcean’s App Platform in the United States. Like any host, it records HTTP requests, which includes IP addresses, as part of running and securing the service. We do not use those records to build a profile of you, and we do not combine them with account data.
An account exists for one reason: paid remote access has to be enforced by a service rather than by a flag in the app that anyone could change. Signing in stores:

Stated as a list because it is the part people actually want to know, and because our schema is built so that adding any of it would be a visible change rather than a quiet one:
Two, both first-party, both strictly necessary, and neither set unless you sign in: one holds your session, and one carries a token that protects sign-in forms against cross-site request forgery. Both are removed when you sign out. There are no advertising, analytics or preference cookies, which is why this site has no cookie banner.
That is the complete list. We do not sell personal data, we do not share it for advertising, and there is no analytics or marketing provider in the picture.
Whatever jurisdiction you are in, you can ask us to show you what we hold, correct it, or delete it, and we will do that. Because the whole of it is an email address, a provider identifier, a plan and a list of sessions, these requests are quick to answer.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you additionally have rights to portability, to object, and to restrict processing, and you may complain to your local supervisory authority. Our legal basis is the contract between us for the parts needed to run your account, and our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure for the request records described above. Data is stored in the United States.
If you are a California resident, you may request the categories of personal information we have collected, request deletion, and not be discriminated against for asking. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined there.

Ordne is a tool for professional software development and is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their data.
If we change what we collect, this page changes with it and the date at the top moves. For a change that materially affects you, we will tell account holders by email rather than relying on you re-reading this page.
